Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
The ABS is Australia's national statistical agency and is the primary source of statistical information about Australia, it's people, economy and environment. The website provides statistical summaries, publications, links to other statistics websites, and detailed information about statistical collections.
Australian Social Science Data Archive (ASSDA)
ASSDA collects and makes available for further analysis computer-readable data relating to Australian social, political and economic affairs. Data is collected from universities, market research companies and government organisations. ASSDA also holds Australian population Census data and data from other countries within the Asia Pacific Region. The website provides information about the data catalogue, how to access this data, what's required when depositing data and links to other Australian and international data sources.
Australian vocational education and training statistics: explained
This publication is intended to provide an overview of the collections, surveys, information systems and resultant statistical reports contained in the policy and strategic framework of the Australian VET system. Produced by the National Centre for Vocational Research (NCVER), the content is endorsed by the National Training Statistics Committee on behalf of the Australian Government and state and territory governments.

A directory of statistics related directly, or indirectly, to education and training in Australia. It includes information about education costs and expenditures, childcare and preschool education, primary and secondary school education, vocational education and training, higher education and, indigenous education and training. The directory also provides information and links to statistics on international student enrolments, longitudinal surveys of children and of youth, and adult literacy.
National Centre for Education and Training Statistics (Australia)

Statistical Clearing House (Australia)
The Statistical Clearing House (SCH), located within the Australian Bureau of Statistics, is the central clearance point for all Australian Commonwealth Government surveys involving 50 or more businesses. The aim of the clearance process is to reduce the burden placed on businesses in completing Commonwealth Government surveys by eliminating duplication and ensuring that good practice is followed when designing and conducting business surveys.
